This two-day seminar introduces students to the origins, rationale, key components, and health benefits of the T'ai Chi Fundamentals (TCF) program. As a system of mind-body exercise, TCF provides a simplified, yet highly effective, means of learning and mastering the basics of the Chinese art of T'ai Chi. Based on traditional Yang style T'ai Chi, the T'ai Chi Fundamentals system incorporates sequential and progressively more difficult movements while integrating mind and body principles that enhance physical and emotional health.

Using a combination of lecture and experiential activities, participants will be able to describe the principles and guidelines for practicing t'ai chi, and will be able to demonstrate the movement patterns of all three sections of the program, and the first section of the T'ai Chi Fundamentals Form. At the conclusion of the seminar students will also be able to describe and discuss the significant medical and functional benefits of the practice, and will be able to identify additional educational resources for learning more about TCF.

Training Dates: February 25-26, 2012.
Location: Courtyard Marriott, Danville, VA
